About this Event
Come join us for a 3-hour punch needle workshop and begin your journey into this endlessly fun craft. During the workshop you learn exactly how to punch and lots of tips and tricks along the way. We explain various techniques and you get to design your very own pattern which you will then create into a masterpiece under the guidance of our instructors.
During the class you will learn:
-How to thread a punch needle
-What kinds of fabrics and yarns you can use in your work
-How to stretch the base fabric over your frame
-Where and how to punch your first stitches
-How to change colors/yarns
-How to change heights of the yarn loops on your design
-How to finish the punch needle work
At the end of the class you will be a punch needle pro, and you'll get to take your masterpiece home to brag to all your friends and family! Our instructors will keep the energy high by providing tea, coffee and snacks during the workshop.

About Hannah
Hannah is an American fiber artist based in Amsterdam and the owner of Shaggies Rugs, a tufting studio in Amsterdam East. She hosts creative workshops on a regular basis including tufting, crochet, mosaic, punch needle, embroidery, macrame and weaving.
