PUBLIC The Musical
I don't think many of us can say we've ever enjoyed a trip to a public bathroom... but after an hour at Public The Musical, prepare to eat those words!
Watch the story unfold in real-time, as 4 very different strangers navigate getting stuck together in a gender-neutral public toilet. All set to a foot-tapping pop/rock score.
This is a musical about, understanding , tolerance and laughter - all things Stroud & Notes believe are needed in life.
About Stroud & Notes
Stroud and Notes are a brand new original musical company conceived by queer singer-songwriter and ideas person, Kyla Stroud (They/She.)
As a musical artist, Kyla has supported the likes of Emeli Sande, won London's best busker, has a fancy-shmancy publishing deal with Kobalt music and is a regular on the festival and London gig circuit. Having suppressed their love for musical theatre long enough, their first original musical has been born and they would love if you’d be one of the first to hear what they’ve been up to.
The S&N creative team is forever growing but for this R&D workshop the 'Notes' in action include theatre maker, Hannah Sands (They/She - previously resident assistant director at the Manchester Royal Exchange, and now associate director on Bloody Elle: a gig musical), movement director, Natalie Stroud (She/Her - Natalie has done everything from stage managing and directing a 50 cast show to choreographing bands for professional music videos.), and MD Olivia Zacharia (She/Her - Recent/Upcoming MD work includes: European Premiere of A Letter to Harvey Milk (Waterloo East Theatre), Up Close & Personal (Union Theatre), Music Assistant (leo&hyde), Queeroes (The Other Palace), Aladdin (Brighton Centre.)
Stroud & Notes believe the best work comes from jamming with people, helping each other learn, up-skill and succeed. Together, Stroud & Notes prioritise mental well-being, collaboration, and champion diverse and brilliant voices.
Stroud & Notes are proud to be supported by Help Musicians and would like to thank Arts Depot for awarding them a residency to host their first R&D workshop.
