About this Event
Street Art vs Gallery Art: Shifting Boundaries is an open round table discussion on how the boundaries between street art and the institutionali art field are shifting and overlapping today.
On May 15, 17:30-19:00, artists will explore how the same work is read differently in the street versus in a gallery — and why this is not just a change of location, but a change of status.
A key focus is what artists gain and lose when entering galleries and museums: control, resources, and visibility vs spontaneity and direct connection with the city.
The final block looks at perception: a случайная encounter with art in public space versus the curated “scenario” of the gallery — and how we, as passers-by, experience art in the urban environment.
