Art in the City: Social Value & Urban Impact
Public talk / institutional discussion
We invite everyone to listen to an open public talk — a space designed for hearing a conversation between people who shape the city through art.
This is a 90-minute structured discussion divided into five sequential blocks (perception, function, place identity, participants, long-term impact), moving from spatial perception to urban transformation, and combining expert-led dialogue, brief audience input, and a final synthesis on how public art operates across perception, use, authorship, and long-term urban influence.
The discussion focuses on how public art functions within the urban environment as a system of perception, function, place identity formation, and long-term impact. It follows a clear sequence: from how art is read in space, to the roles it performs in the city, how it shapes the identity of districts, how different participants (artists, institutions, developers) co-produce urban space, and how these interventions affect the long-term cultural and spatial development of the city.
