About this Event
What is it? Bird Collisions in the Anthropocene is an Evanston-based nonprofit crowd-sourcing the handcrafting of 10,836 birds to match the number found in 2023 by the Chicago Bird Collision Monitors after they hit windows.
How does it work? Join us anytime during the workshop. Crafting a bird takes about 30 minutes. Participants will be given a fabric bird base, scrap fabric, and a bio of a bird species . Finished birds will be tagged with the artist’s name and donated to the project.
Who can join? Anyone interested in birds, conservation, or crafting! Appropriate for ages 6 and up.
