Public Art Reveal 2025

See the Yard’s latest public art installation, Our Brooklyn, created for the Yard by local artist Phoebe Lo. The installation celebrates the community, beauty, culture, vibrancy, and interconnectedness of Brooklyn in a bright installation that spans more than 200 feet along Flushing Avenue. Meet the artist and other fans of creativity in Brooklyn while enjoying food, drinks, and art-making activities.  

 Want to contribute to the public installation? At the event, submit your drawing tied to the prompt, “What Shapes Our Brooklyn” and see if the artist selects your work to be added to her installation. Already submitted a shape idea? Come to the opening to see if your shape was selected. 

Open to all who love the intersection of art and industry and enjoy coming together to celebrate community (Alcohol will be served for those who are 21+ and everyone attending must show an ID to enter).

This event is the official after party for the Yard's Design Day celebrations that run from 12 pm - 5 pm.

Designers, design enthusiasts, and aspiring designers from New York and around the world are invited to explore the expansive 300-acre campus and step into cutting-edge design studios, multidisciplinary working factories, and bespoke design firms. From open houses to demos to tours, this event celebrates the innovative ecosystem at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
