About this Event

In 2003, President George W. Bush signed the Pr*son Rape Elimination Act (PREA) into federal law. In the past 16 years, what have you done to be prepared to be within compliance? Are you familiar with all 455 requirements necessary to achieve “meeting standards” in a PREA audit? Are you wondering why you should even care? 21 CLETS, LLC has developed a class that will give you relevant insight into how to achieve these standards, and provide you with resources to help you meet them.

This online eight-hour class will be challenging, but our instructors will cover important relevant information from the latest court rulings, US DOJ experts, the PREA Resource Center, and real-world experience from a staff member who was responsible for ensuring compliance with a first-ever PREA audit. Discussions will be facilitated concerning solutions to meet frequent compliance issues, and we welcome information-sharing to help all attain this goal. Often, there will be a need to think “outside of the box” to find what works for your correctional facility.

This class is designed to reduce agency liability by giving you the tools to address areas of concern and assist you in developing solutions.
