Following the fantastic turnout for our first walk, we’re delighted to invite you to our second Protect Malpas Walk. This time, we’re joining forces with the Community Planning Alliance’s National Day of Action for Nature, Parks & Green Spaces:
https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1HmYswc3N3/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Meet: 10:30am, St Oswald’s Church car park (Ox Hayes end)
Route: Approx. 2 miles
This time we will be walking the other way round: starting from the church, we’ll take the public footpath down to the Sports Club and then proceed diagonally across the lower Ox Hayes fields all the way down to the Bridle Path where we turn right to head towards Love Lane. We’ll then turn right again onto Love Lane, walking up the road, and then we will turn right again onto the Ox Hayes footpath, looping back to the church.
This walk is a great opportunity to meet fellow residents and share your views and concerns about overdevelopment in Malpas, not just the Ox Hayes but also other planned and proposed sites in the village. Part of the route passes through the fields currently marketed for development by the Diocese
Sturdy footwear is recommended.
Dogs are welcome, but please keep them on a lead.
Kindly avoid parking in the church car park, which is reserved for church use. Please park elsewhere in the village and walk to the meeting point.
Like last time, we will be taking a few photos and possibly also a short video to share on here. Please do let us know on the day if you’d prefer not to be included.
We hope to see you there!
