Project Name: "Salsa & Latin Ballet AU"description:
"Salsa & Latin Ballet." is a project designed to promote and celebrate the diversity of Latin culture through dance, specifically salsa and other Latin rhythms such as Salsa, Cha-Cha-Chá, Boogallo, Pachanga Merengue, Bachata etc.. This project aims to create an inclusive dance group that offers a space for community members to learn, practice and perform together, sharing their passion for Latin music and dance.
Goals:
1. Foster Inclusion and a Sense of Community: Create a welcoming and supportive environment where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together, share and celebrate Latin culture.
2. Educate and Entertain: Provide training in various styles of Latin dance to improve members' technical skills and offer cultural entertainment to the community.
3. Promote Health and Wellbeing: Use dance as a tool to improve physical and mental health, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
4. Increase Cultural Visibility: Perform at local events, festivals and celebrations to highlight the richness of Latin culture and increase the visibility of Latin dance traditions.
Main activities:
- Weekly Dance Classes: Organization of regular classes that teach the fundamentals and advanced techniques of different styles of Latin dance.
- Group Rehearsals: Periodic sessions to prepare group choreographies that will be presented at various events and festivals.
- Performances and Presentations: Participation in community events, festivals and other opportunities to showcase the talent and diversity of the group.
- Workshops and Social Events: Implementation of open dance workshops and social dance events to encourage informal practice and socialization between members and the broader community.
Salsa & Latin Ballet AU" aims to be a point of reference in the community for the expression and appreciation of Latin culture through dance, offering an enriching and fun space that strengthens community ties and celebrates cultural diversity.
