Pelada, the duo of singer Chris Vargas and producer Tobias Rochman, broke out of Montréal's underground warehouse rave scene in 2014 after uploading tracks to SoundCloud which caught the attention of the global dance music scene.
They spent the next five years touring the globe extensively before signing with Berlin experimental label PAN in 2019 and releasing their debut album ‘Movimiento Para Cambio’. In 2023, they self-released their follow up 'Ahora Más Que Nunca', which included collaborations with Aquiles Navarro (Irreversible Entanglements / Moor Mother ) & rapper Backxwash which was long-listed for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize.
Their collaboration is an energetic blend of Spanish language vocals centred around themes of power, control, social justice with hardware samplers, synths, and drum machines. The unique sound has led them to perform in many different contexts around the world, for a decade they have toured around the globe performing at clubs and festivals in Canada, USA, Europe, Australia, Japan, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia and beyond.
Pelada have recently announced they will be disbanding effective January 1, 2025 so catch them while you can on this final tour.

God's Mom is a Toronto-based group comprised of Bria Salmena (Orville Peck, Bria, Frigs, Sigil) and Andrew Matthews (WHIMM, Dime Lifters) that explores the combination of Calabrian folk singing and hedonistic dance music. Drawing equally from sleazy euro-trance, EBM, and Bria's Southern Italian heritage, God's Mom EP is a cacophonous celebration of life.
