For the opening night on 20th March, Prohibition Parlour sets the tone with a live Gypsy Jazz performance — a vibrant, fast-paced style of jazz born in 1930s Paris and popularised by Django Reinhardt. Blending swing rhythms, virtuosic guitar, and infectious energy, Gypsy Jazz is joyful, expressive, and made to be experienced up close.
The band has been carefully selected by Speakeasy Sounds, renowned for curating outstanding live music experiences and bringing world-class musicians to intimate venues across Scotland — ensuring exceptional quality, authenticity, and atmosphere from the very first note.

Paul Paterson is an Edinburgh-based guitarist who is widely recognised as one of Scotland's leading gypsy jazz players. Paul has played professionally since the age of 18 and specialises in the authentic Django Reinhardt sound of the 1930s. He is accompanied by his partner, Charlotte Paterson, on double bass and Iain McNally, an outstanding rhythm guitarist from Glasgow.

Ali, an award-winning jazz singer, has performed across the globe and, together with the team at Speakeasy Sound, has been instrumental in bringing some of the world’s most electrifying jazz talent to Scotland.
Darren, a private chef with an impeccable pedigree, spent seven years leading the banqueting team at The Savoy in London, crafting exceptional dining for some of the most prestigious events in the UK.
Sara has spent over 15 years producing standout events for the design industry across Europe and the UK, shaping unforgettable experiences and creative communities.
Together, they have created something extraordinary.
