Parents - let’s end the week, and kick off the long weekend by doing what we need to do: exhaust our children. Progress at the Playground is a series of monthly meet ups for parents who 💜 public schools. In April, we met with 4 school board candidates who get what we need and want as parents (safe schools, quality education, boring school board meetings).
There will be a chance to learn, but more than anything, it’s a chance to come together and remind our community that parents really are the experts - and our voices aren’t being included or heard.
There’s a simple way to change that, and it doesn’t involve giving our time and energy. It just involves showing up. At the playground.
