FULLY INTERACTIVE SCOUTING WORKSHOP - THE EMIRATES STADIUM - LONDON

This six-hour fully interactive workshop teaches the scouting techniques used at the highest levels of professional football. With the use of video tasks and group work, the workshop will guide you through the process of how to scout players efficiently at matches and how to assess and grade player performance with a structure.

This live-in-person workshop is for people who have an interest in scouting professionally, who are currently scouting and wish to upskill and develop, and for football agents seeking to develop their scouting abilities and understanding.

The Workshop will enable you to gain a better understanding of how professional clubs scout players and how to create and structure your own scouting report to a professional standard.

AFCAS - The Association of Football Coaches and Scouts have presented scouting workshops for the staff of Professional Football clubs and National Football Associations from all over the World.

This is your opportunity to work with and learn with an experienced professional football scout who has worked at the highest level in domestic and International football.

Previous workshop attendees have progressed as scouts to work with clubs such as - Manchester City, Manchester United, West Ham United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Rangers, PSV Eindhoven, FC Porto, Inter Miami, LA Galaxy, Hearts, Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City, Swansea City, Middlesbrough, Q.P.R, Lincoln City, Portsmouth, Blackpool, Doncaster Rovers, Fleetwood Town, and many many more clubs.

With the aid of video footage, scouting tasks will be set during the workshop for the participants to practice and use these scouting techniques to complete the tasks and reports.

The workshop will explain and show you -

- How to scout and assess player performance in different playing positions.

- How to set up and build a Scouting + Recruitment system

- Observation techniques and scouting hints and tips

- How to observe a match correctly and what aspects to look for in players' performance

- How to assess and evaluate players and build rating systems

- The process of creating and building a scouting database

- To track and follow targets

A scouting pack will be given to all participants with software to complete your own scouting reports.

This event will also be a very good networking opportunity for you to meet like minded people and those that work at football clubs at all levels.

Workshop presented by Ged Searson - a Professional Football Scout with over 15 years of experience working at the highest level of International Football as a National team Chief Scout, a first-team scout in the English Premier League, and a Chief Scout in the English Football League.

Ged also has over 29 years of experience as a professional football coach, having been mentored by the legendary coach Sir Bobby Robson.
