Come make an animal hat to wear in the Procession of the Species. For Kids and Adults! Suggested Donation $7.00.
About this Event

Suggest Donation: $7.00 per hat.

All children under age 14 must be accompanied/supervised by an adult.

Critter Hats

This class is for people to make a quick and easy animal hat to wear in the Procession of the Species.

All supplies included. We provide the poster paper, templates, paint and staplers. You provide your imagination which turns your project into wearable art. You should be able to complete this project in one session. This class is great for kids.

*Tickets are needed only for the hats actually made -i.e., friends or accompanying adults do not need a separate ticket.

Process:

Trace two animal templates onto poster paper (left and right)

[You don’t have to use our templates you are free to design your own]

Make a headband out of the poster paper

Cut out your traced animal and headband

Paint and/or decorate your cutout, let paint dry

Staple headband together so that it fits around your head

Staple your decorated cutout to the headband

Your project is ready to wear!
