About this Event

Join us for insights and advice to proactively nurture positive mental health in the workplace

In 2022, when State of Us launched, we carried out a study of comms and marketing professionals (in-house, agency and freelance) to assess the state of mental health.

Now, in partnership with Coleman Parkes, we have repeated this industry-wide study. The results - including insights and advice from 15 industry leaders from the likes of ServiceNow; Ofcom; Tik Tok; BT; Hope & Glory and Provoke Media - will be shared at this in-person event and will form the basis of our panel discussion.

Our panellists will explore what the industry should be doing next when it comes to supporting mental health within in-house and agency environments. In the two years between our studies, progress has been made.

But the findings reveal the need for a much bigger shift in mindset and approach by organisations when it comes to genuinely tackling this increasing issue in our industry.

Attendees will get exclusive access to the research results, insights from 15 industry leaders as well as hear experiences and advice from our panellists:

  • Farzana Baduel, President elect (2025) CIPR and CEO Curzon PR
  • Leonie Mcilroy, Head of Campaigns and Communications Mental Health First Aid England
  • Simon Redfern, UK CEO, Burson (and previously Ofcom, Google, Starbucks)
  • Whitney Simon, Founder, Anchor+Flow
  • Hannah Devoy, Director, Fight or Flight

The discussion will be moderated by Vicki DeBlaisi, CEO of Innovate Comms and co-founder of State of Us; and the event will include an exclusive overview of the survey findings from Stephen Saw, Coleman Parkes.
