Print & Pride Workshop: Queer ActivismJoin Auburn Langley for a Print & Pride workshop celebrating the queer activists who changed the world. Using “Queer” as a reclaimed umbrella embracing the full spectrum of LGBTQIA+ identities, this session invites us to reflect on the people who challenged boundaries and helped shape the present.
Together, we’ll explore both historic and contemporary queer activists, and the ways they pushed against societal limits. Inspired by their stories, you’ll create your own expressive artwork using print and mixed-media.
No pressure to make anything “perfect” — this is a space for messy, heartfelt creativity at any level. Each participant will create a scrapbooking page celebrating a queer activist, and all pages will be brought together into a collective creative book honouring queer history, pride, and community.
📅 When: Friday, April 24th | 6–8 pm
📍 Where: Port Independent
🎟️ Cost: Free but must get a ticket to book your place (plus a free hot drink!)
