About this Event
Join us for a relaxed session led by artist and printmaker Laura Villares House. Everyone is welcome, and no prior experience in printmaking is required!
In this workshop you’ll be introduced to a range of accessible printmaking techniques. Over the course of the afternoon, you can explore and combine the techniques to make your own unique greetings cards.
You'll learn about three main types of printing, which all work in different ways:
- Monoprint: Jelly plate printing using natural items to explore silhouettes & layered natural forms
- Relief: Lino: Make a mini lino plate and contribute to a collective pattern-picture
- Intaglio: Tetrapak printing - Make a design in tetrapak, and make a print using a pasta roller.
The ticket price includes all materials, plus tea and cake (vegan options available).
Please wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit messy; or bring an overall/old shirt.
