Target Group: Primary Religious Education Subject Leaders
Tutor: Shaun Burns, Primary Religious Education Adviser
Whole-day conferences are held annually for Religious Education Subject Leaders in the Autumn and Summer Terms. They aim to ensure schools are kept up to date with diocesan and national policies to ensure the delivery of outstanding Religious Education, as well as to provide professional development for Religious Education subject leaders in our Church of England schools. Participants are invited to contribute and take part in working and discussion groups.
Religious Education subject leaders will be:
• Reflecting on the responsibilities of the Religious Education Subject Leader role
• Benefiting from an opportunity to develop and practise skills
• Participating in workshops using the latest teaching methods for Religious Education
• Contributing to the latest updates of SDBE guidance
• Receiving advice on evaluating the effectiveness of Religious Education and the impact of Collective Worship in their schools under SIAMS
• Sharing of best practice in Religious Education
• Browsing and sharing resources
• Networking with colleagues across the Diocese
