MEND & PATCH WORKSHOP WITH STITCHES ACADEMY
PRIMARK | SOUTHAMPTON
A quick fix master class, where you'll learn simple techniques to be able to repair your clothes!
Join Sarah from The Stitches Academy for a one and a half hour hands-on practical creative sewing workshop! No experience required!
Headed by Sarah Orru, Stitches Academy offers textile and sewing classes for children from the age of 8, all the way through to adults focusing on themes such as sustainability in fashion, portraits, graphic design, costume design.
You'll leave knowing about different hand sewing techniques and ways of upcycling, meaning you will be able to alter, mend and update the clothing you already have and love. This workshop will be focused on a boro inspired repair style, which is a form of visible mending.
We will provide everything you need to participate. All attendees will get a re-useable tote bag and a sewing kit so that they can put what they learned into practice at home! We look forward to seeing you!
THE TIME: Please join us 15 minutes before the workshop starts for a pre-session settling in, meet & greet.
THE PLACE: The event is held in store, next to the main entrance.
