The Library is open, because… indeed: reading is fundamental! And so is education. That’s why we are introducing you to Pride University. An initiative by Vu Pride, HvA Pride, UvA Pride, Student Pride, A.S.V. Gay, All-in foundation, Pride and Sports and The Student Hotel. Aimed to educate you and each other about everything the LGBTQI+ spectrum has to offer. On weekdays during Pride Week (2nd till 6th of August, a new lecture is hosted between 5 and 6 p.m. with afterwards an opportunity to meet, discuss and talk – all within the latest covid-19 measures, of course. If you know where to look, you can find queer themes everywhere: for example in art from times far past. In this workshop, we will have a look at LGBTQ+ paintings. Next to that, you can release the artist in yourself: together, we are going to do some sketches.
