About this Event
Pride Open Mic – Black History Month Edition
Theme: The Loads We Carry
📅 February 27 | ⏰ 8:00 PM EST
February is Black History Month, and this Pride Open Mic is a space to honor the loads we carry—the stories, histories, joys, grief, resilience, and truth held in Black queer bodies and lives.
This is a freedom-of-expression space. Poetry. Spoken word. Music. Storytelling. Silence. Come to share or come to witness—both are welcome.
We’re honored to welcome back YaNi Davis, poet and spoken word artist, as our special returning guest. Her words hold depth, power, and heart, and we’re grateful to have her back on the mic.
New this month: for those who want it, there will be optional 5-minute hot seat coaching offered toward the end of the evening. Completely voluntary. Consent-based. No pressure.
Suggested donation: $15 (pay what you can)
No one turned away.
