Happy New Year and Happy January, everyone! This marks our 10th year of hosting an annual walk in January! Most years have been the Seven Bridges Walk through Balboa Park and surrounding areas. However with paid parking being enforced in Balboa Park (boo! 👎🏽), I am wanting to pivot this year to a special hike I’ve been holding in my back pocket for some time now after several very fun adventures I’ve had at this park.
Presidio Park is so much more than just a white historical mission perched up on a hill. Other perks include:
- Beautiful scenic nature trails
- Free parking 🅿️
- Spectacular views of San Diego
- Moderate inclines that will get the blood pumping
- Historical landmarks worth seeing
- An opportunity to hear about some of San Diego’s history from a professional tour guide during our snack breaks
- Dogs on leash are permitted
- Those views though! 📸🤳🌅😊
We will spend 2-3 hours at Presidio Park with built in breaks complete with group photos and a little historical narration. Please bring your own snacks, electrolytes, water, etc.
This hike is not the same as the one on AllTrails. I’ve customized it to be longer and a little harder (that’s where the good stuff is😋). There will be exercise! 🚶♀️🚶🏻🚶🏻♀️🚶🏾♂️🚶🏽♀️🚶🏼🚶🏿♂️
