About this Event
EnvisionTown: Student Challenge for Affordable Housing is an exciting initiative by the Peterborough Affordable Housing Committee, in collaboration with the Office of Planning & Building. This initiative aims to spotlight several undeveloped or underutilized properties, showcasing their potential for redevelopment into vibrant, mixed-use and/or affordable housing solutions. With the esteemed guidance of sophomore and senior architectural students from Keene State College, EnvisionTown seeks to inspire innovative and practical ideas for transforming these properties into valuable community assets.
New this year, some students will present renderings of detached ADUs. These designs are intended to serve as representative, shovel‑ready options that residents can reference or adapt for their own ADU projects.
Join us for an inspiring presentation of architectural renderings for several promising properties in Peterborough. The event will kick off with Town staff providing valuable insights on grants, tax credits, and other resources that can help bring these projects to life. Following this, our Affordable Housing Committee Chair will share a few words on the importance of these initiatives.
The highlight of the event will be a dynamic round-robin presentation by senior architectural students from Keene State College. Each student will showcase their innovative renderings and explain how their designs align with the Town’s Master Plan, zoning requirements, and building code; underscoring how these proposals may garner local support and community buy-in. Designs feature mixed-use developments to affordable housing.
Don't miss this opportunity to envision and shape the future of Peterborough!
Light refreshments will be served.
