About the Speaker:
Mr. Zhao Youbin is one of the most prominent exponents of Yang-style Tai Chi in the contemporary era. Born into an authentically inherited Tai Chi family, he possesses profound martial arts skills and systematic teaching expertise, enjoying an outstanding reputation within the global Tai Chi community.
In terms of professional credentials, Mr. Zhao has long been engaged in the compilation and promotion of national-level Wushu teaching materials and standard systems. In 2008, he was specially appointed by the Wushu Research Institute of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Wushu Association to serve as a chief compiler and demonstrator for the China Wushu Duan Wei System Textbook Series – Yang-style Tai Chi. He has played a vital role in advancing the standardized development of Tai Chi.
Furthermore, he has served as a core instructor and assessor for numerous national Wushu Duan Wei instructor training programs and has participated in national-level grading examinations, establishing himself as one of the leading authorities in this system.
In teaching and global promotion, Master Zhao has provided systematic instruction since the 1980s, cultivating a large number of outstanding practitioners. He has organized extensive training and cultural exchange programs both domestically and internationally, actively promoting the worldwide spread of Tai Chi. He is also the author of multiple Tai Chi monographs published in various languages, granting him broad international influence.
