In this lastest workshop with Astrid Carolina, we’ll paint power animals as symbols of intuition, protection, and personal energy. This class is not about perfection or hyper-realism. It’s about connection; learning how to translate the essence, emotion, and presence of an animal into watercolor. You’re welcome to choose an animal that resonates with you. If you have a specific animal you’d like to paint, please bring a printed color reference photo, ideally a front portrait (5×7 or 8×10 inches).
In this workshop, you’ll learn basic:
* Water control techniques for simple fur, feathers, and organic textures
* Color theory to create mood, contrast, and depth
* Layering methods that build form without overworking the painting
* How to suggest expression and energy without needing advanced drawing skills
This workshop is designed to be accessible to beginners while still offering valuable techniques for more experienced painters. The focus is on letting the painting unfold naturally, guided by intuition, not pressure.
You’ll also be invited into a brief reflective moment to connect with the qualities your chosen animal represents, making the experience both creative and meaningful.
Perfect for: Beginners and intermediate artists who want to explore animals through watercolor in a relaxed, supportive environment without the pressure of “getting it perfect.”
All materials provided; just bring your creativity (and a possible reference).
