This Autumn Wildcrafting hike will involve some uppy-downy stairs and steep inclines, but I have had plenty of small children do it just fine. We will meet by the visitors center and bathrooms. The hike will take about 2 hours. We will discuss over a couple dozen wild plants and their uses, with an emphasis on herbalism, ethical wildcrafting and safety, culinary uses, other practical uses and earth stewardship. Please wear good shoes, bring water, and weather appropriate clothing.
Suggested sliding scale range is $10-$50 per family, but also FREE if thats what you need.
After this hike, from 2-4:00, I will be meeting folks at a small urban homestead less than a mile away where we will continue to discuss how foraging contributes to quality of life, deeper connections with place and our neighbors, self reliance and resourcefulness as well as greater health.
