Pottery Wheel Workshop - Fungi Cerâmica
Introduction to pottery and working on the pottery wheel :)
We’ll talk about what pottery is, and the magic of using objects made with our own hands. Each participant will try their hand at creating different shapes on the wheel: bowls, cups, glasses, and at the end will choose two pieces, which will then be fired and glazed at high temperature with a chosen glaze, and will be ready for collection approximately three weeks later.
Groups are small, up to six people, and all materials are included: clay, tools, firing, and an apron. Just bring comfortable clothes and a willingness to get stuck in. Anything goes here: the crooked cup, the bowl that won’t fit in the cupboard, or simply the joy of working with clay!
Classes can be taught in Portuguese, English or Spanish.
