Join our weekly, tutor-led sessions designed to spark creativity and build confidence! Perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to refresh their pottery skills, this course focuses on strong foundations and hands-on techniques. Whether you’re starting your pottery journey or rediscovering the basics, these sessions are all about learning, creating, and having fun
This friendly and supportive course is perfect for complete beginners or anyone ready to take their skills further and experience the joy of creating with clay. Over 10 weeks, you’ll learn a range of hand-building techniques — including pinching, slab building, coiling, and using moulds.
You’ll explore pattern, texture, and mark-making, and experiment with decorating your pieces using slips, oxides, underglazes, and glazes. Along the way, you’ll learn the basics of glazing to give your work a beautiful finish.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a collection of unique, fully fired pieces to take home and enjoy.
This aims to be a friendly class with support and encouragement from your tutor and your course mates.
No previous experience necessary, just enthusiasm to learn and have a go!

What Do I Need to Bring:
- Please wear closed toe shoes and an apron.
- Please bring a notepad, sketchbook and pencils.
- Pottery tools are provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
All Materials included in course fee
Please note: Each session runs for 2 hours and 15 minutes, with the last 15 minutes set aside for tidy-up. This tidy-up time is not included in the course fee.

All our courses run based on a minimum number of participants.
If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us at your earliest convenience. Cancellations received within 2 days of the course start date are non-refundable.
Missed sessions by individual students are non-refundable.
When purchasing more than one ticket—whether for yourself or on behalf of others—you must provide the correct individual information for each attendee. Duplicate or identical information cannot be used for multiple tickets and may result in registration issues.
