Join the POTS (Part of the Solution) Junior Board for a comedy night to raise awareness and funds for POTS.

POTS, a Bronx-based non-profit, offers diverse services to combat hunger and poverty in our community. Its comprehensive services range from covering basic needs such as food, showers, haircuts, a secure mailing addresss to more addressing complex needs such as navigating benefits, mentoring, ESOL, financial and employment counseling, and eviction prevention. POTS’ unique mosaic of services combines to pave pathways to stability for low-income New Yorkers.

Proceeds from this event support POTS' efforts during an exciting period of expansion of both physical space and services. Having recently opened a second facility and now breaking ground on an expansion of its Webster Avenue location, POTS is deepening its impact and building opportunities to break the cycle of poverty. We hope you can join us for a magical evening featuring headliner, Chris Brown, and a variety of talented comedians that are sure to provide you with a night to remember.

Chris Brown (Headliner) is originally from Atlanta but residing in New York City. Chris has been honing his comedic talents all his life. He recalls getting his inspiration to do comedy from his neighborhood barbershop where everybody was able to take the stage. The barbering profession is what Chris would later choose as his career path and accredits the barbershop as a great source for comedic material.

Paul Gee (Emcee) is an actor, host, Music Artist, writer, and producer. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and is an alumni of St. John's University. His knowledge from school and his work has allowed him to cultivate his brand and expand it to working with companies such as MTV, ESPN, Warner Media, BET, Amazon, Wix, Microsoft and more. He has recently guest starred on Blue Bloods (2023), was featured in an Apple commercial (iPhone 14), and hosted the red carpet for the New York premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One movie. Paul Gee's past performances consist of places such as Madison Square Garden, The Barclays Center, and Carnegie Hall to name a few, as well as colleges and universities all over the country for performances and events he’s hosted. He’s also taken part of multiple worldwide tours as the lead character in the Production of “Henry Box Brown: A Musical Journey” in which it won the Best Musical Nomination, He took part of 2 BBC interviews (BBC1 ”The Morning Show” and BBC Scotland “The Edinburgh Show”) and garnered over 30, 4 and 5-star reviews from sites including The Times of London, Broadway Baby, Broadway World, Musical Theatre Review.com, The List, and The Fringe etc. (over 30 reviews of the show).

Kim Berns is a humorist, stand-up comic, writer, and producer of comedy shows and charity events. She is a radio host and podcast host of “What’s the Story’, and UnPaused; prior to that the ‘Cook and Comic’. She was the host and producer of the radio show, “Anything Goes”, for 7 years. She has performed all over the country, notably NYC at The Comic Strip Live, Eastville, The Stand, West Side Comedy Club and the Broadway Comedy Club. She has also performed at the Emelin Theater, Mohegan Sun Casinos Comix Roadhouse and The GUKO Comedy Club in Paris, France! In English! She is currently writing, producing and starring in a mockumentary entitled, ‘Relentless’ with the cast of stand-ups and actors from the comedy world.She has a BS in Journalism and Communications from the University of Texas and an MS in Business Communications from Northwestern University. Kim resides in Rye with the humor source of three almost fully-fledged sons and an untamed rescue dog.

Debbie Bazza was born and raised in the South Bronx. Her lifelong dream was to be a housewife and mother, a goal incessantly encouraged by her family. After raising two daughters and surviving three marriages she decided to finally do what she loves - stand-up comedy and acting. Debbie weaves experiences of motherhood, marriage and domestic encounters throughout her routine. Debbie was a finalist on ABC's The Views Most Hilarious Housewife Contest.” Was in Ladies of Laughter Comedy Festival as well as several others. She was recently on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She is a member of SAG/Aftra and performs at various New York City venues as well as on the road. Her acting roles may be seen in “Bronx Paradise”,“Pugumentary”, “China”, and “The Job Interview.” Debbie notes that her dad was a comic and her daughter continues the family tradition.

Jim Maywalt is a writer and performer on No Filtr Comedy "Straight out of North Wall NJ."
