Postpartum Keeper Training a Postpartum Doula Training. *Traditional and Native ways to support the Postpartum Transition, a Ritual of Passage.

This training its to experience together the wisdom behind the postpartum period through the opening of our understanding and vision about it.
During this certification you will learn about native and traditional ways to approach the Postpartum Stage, also the bases to understand deeper all the physiological changes that affects the physical, energetic and spiritual levels, in the new body of the Mother.
The main focus of the course is the use of different tools to honor and work with one of the most important Rituals of Passage in Women's Life to support the transition of the new mother.
The training program is a blend of face-to-face and online live meetings with Brenda Miquiztli. This format allows you to experience the wisdom behind the postpartum period while gaining practical skills. The program will cover a range of topics, including ancestral remedies, traditional birth practices, and the emotional and physical challenges of the postpartum period.
For this training the Traditional Midwife Beti Flores will acompanny us for one of the online classes.
The training is divided in 4 parts and it has a total duration of 9 months and 250hrs work.
1st part: Intensive 4 days Retreat:
From 12.02.26-15.02.26
During our retreat we will navigate from the physiology to the spiritual phases of the postpartum period, as well as the traditions, herbalism and the ritual part of it.
2nd part: 4 online sessions.
1 online session every 2 months with Brenda Miquiztli and 1 session with the traditional midwife Beti Flores.
During the online sessions we will go through some of the most important topics for the Postpartum Period that weren't covered during the intensive retreat, and are part of the final assignments.
3th part: Assignments
The assignments are the final work that you will compromise to do within the next 9 months after the first Intensive Retreat. Those include the work with 4 postpartum mothers.
4rd part: Weekend retreat for initiation, revision of your advanced final work and certification for the ones who finished the assignments.

There is a very beautiful tradition behind the Postpartum period, and we can affect this transition in a very strong and lovely way.
About Brenda Miquiztli:
During our training we will talk about this traditional medicine that I inherited from my lovely family: My Medicine Woman Mother, my Mayan Grandfather, My Naturopathic Dad and honoring also many medicine women and men that had teaching me a lot about herbalism, the postpartum period and my sacred path as medicine woman, Doula and Apprentice of traditional midwifery.
I'm 43 years old Mexican woman, living in Finland. The medicine path its being for me, my whole life path, I grow up in a naturophatic family, where traditions are still alive and strong part of our roots. I learned all my life from my father the ways to heal the body through the contact with the elements in the earth (water, fire, earth and wind, diet and herbs) and from my mother the healing through energy, Spirituality and meditation, and as I grew up I have been learning about traditional and native ways for the last 25 years of my life with elders in México and Europe.
I'm a women's circle and workshops facilitator, in México, Sweden and Finland, but also around the world for the online courses. Holistic Doula, Placental medicine therapist, Breastfeeding counsellor, Sahumadora (fire keeper in the Mexican ancient traditions), Sacred Obsidiane pipe keeper, Prehispanic traditional dancer, Guardian of Temazcal-Sweat lodge, Moon Dancer and facilitator of rites of passage (Menarche, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause & death), Traditional Midwifery apprentice and a Veterinarian.
The course Includes:
Some of the Materials for the ceremony.
Medicinal herbs: *The herbs that we will use, are organic and safe to use.
Cacao, tea, coffee, cookies, fruits, small snacks, etc.
Use of sauna when need it.

The weekend does not include lunch or accommodation.
