Join Post:ballet for an evening of drinks, dance, and community as we come together to raise funds for the 16th Season of Post:ballet. Support the projects of Post:ballet including Magma, Post:ballet’s first immersive dance theater production, Blueprints of being, a collaboration with AXIS Dance Company, and the films of Post:ballet including Inner Child Foundation’s Summer, which was recently selected to open the 2024 SF Dance Film Festival.Arrive at 7pm for a champagne toast on the roof deck of The Midway and the musical accompaniment of Roziht Eve. Enjoy lite bites in The Midway gallery as you take in a sneak peek of Blueprints of being. Share a moment of community and hear from the artists and leaders of Post:ballet as we raise funds to support Post’s “Sweet Sixteen” Season as well as new collaborations that are on the horizon.
Finish the evening with a preview performance of Magma (Chapter 2). Audience members will be invited to choose one of three scenes, each unfolding simultaneously in a unique location at The Midway. These scenes will individually and collectively explore our relationship to truth, ignorance, and entropy and will be integrated into Post’s full-length presentation of Magma at The Midway in January 2025.
Magma features choreography by Post’s Resident Choreographer Moscelyne ParkeHarrison and the company dancers, with music by dj.ari.b and costumes by Mia J. Chong with David Calhoun.
All tickets are General Admission. Event is 12+
