Understanding HIV Criminalization with Kae Greenburg

Info: This lecture by Kae Greeburg of the center for HIV Law and Policy explores why many people aging with HIV are disproportionately impacted by criminal records, including the lasting effects of stigma, poverty, and systemic inequities. We will discuss how these records create barriers to housing, employment, and healthcare, further complicating long-term health outcomes. The session will also highlight available resources for record clearing and expungement, offering practical tools to reduce these obstacles. While not the central focus, we will touch on re-entry programs that can support individuals navigating life after incarceration.

From changes in libido and arousal to the impact of U=U, menopause, and evolving sexual practices, this session invites participants to share stories, challenges, and joys in a judgment-free space. Together, we’ll create dialogue around pleasure, resilience, and what it means to thrive sexually at any age.
