GUEST SPEAKER:Rayshun Holt
is president of the Beacon of Hope Business Alliance based in Cincinnati, Ohio, a unique ecosystem of businesses, human services organizations, recovery services, and correctional entities in Greater Cincinnati committed to advancing the mission of Second Chance Hiring. He and his team assist partners in removing barriers that would otherwise prevent someone succeeding. Together they create pathways to support such as job coaching, skills training, mental health services, transportation, and mentoring.
He is a matchmaker of sorts. Engaging C-Suite leadership to re-imagine their recruitment and hiring processes to find and retain talent in those with faulted histories.
Those who have harmed the community, harmed people.
Those who come from broken backgrounds.
Those who have served their time and come to realize they want to change.
Those who want a second chance to do better for themselves, their families, their community.
The Alliance has proven so successful that it is featured in a Harvard Business School case study about Nehemiah Mfg. that has become a cornerstone of their curriculum. The case study has also become a staple at Stanford Graduate School of Business. In both instances, Rayshun teaches the case, alongside Nehemiah CEO, Dan Meyer, to business leaders from all over the world.
A DRIVEN LEADER: Behind Rayshun’s drive is a lifetime of experience. He speaks and acts with conviction because he knows firsthand the value of this mission. He himself credits Second Chance Hiring for his success.
His story will inspire you to see humanity and success differently.
