O Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas is the Portugal, Camões and Portuguese Communities day.
Join us on this special occasion celebrated by Portuguese people around the world at Tate South Lambeth Library.
Special activities on the day:
- Indoor and outdoor market on Wilcox Close selling traditional crafts and street food
- Story and rhyme time (11am)
- Portuguese zines for sale
- Filmoteca das Ilhas film screening
- Casa Benfica Londres football team meet and greet
- Portuguese diaspora family heritage activities (2pm)
- Traditional dance class (2pm)
- Wilcox Road bag making with Nooma Studios
- Lambeth Health and Wellbeing Bus
Tate South Lambeth Library is in the heart of the Portuguese community in Lambeth, in what has become known as ‘Little Portugal’ between Stockwell, Vauxhall and Nine Elms. The day will be full of celebrations. You can also go on to explore the local Portuguese bars, cafes, gift shops, delicatessens and more.
