Art instructor - professional artist Kate Medvedok
Inspired by the expressive portrait styles of Amedeo Modigliani, this workshop invites teens to explore emotion, identity, and self-expression through portrait drawing.
Led by internationally acknowledged artist Kate Medvedok, participants will learn how artists use form, proportion, and line to convey feeling and character rather than strict realism.
What We Will Explore
- Graphic Portrait: Emotions Through Form
Learn how simplified shapes, line quality, and composition can express mood, personality, and inner emotion. - Elongated Proportions – Modigliani-Inspired Portraits
Create a stylized portrait using elongated forms and refined lines, inspired by Modigliani’s iconic approach to the human face and figure.
This thoughtful and creative workshop encourages teens to experiment, reflect, and develop confidence in portrait drawing while learning from influential art traditions.
Perfect for teens interested in art, self-expression, and creative exploration.
