About this Event
Night time is the right time to walk on through.
We are living in a strange moment.
A world flickering between beauty and collapse,
noise and silence, connection and dissonance.
On May 29, step inside The Velvet Underground: An Immersive Multimedia Experience: a one-night convergence of Portland musicians, performers, and artists channeling the sound, spirit, and shadow of an era that never really ended.
A descent into sound, sight, into feeling and
into the parts of ourselves we can't or don’t want to always name.
Produced by Mama Sam and directed by Leo Moon, the evening unfolds as a living collage of music, light, and performance... where distortion becomes language, and beauty emerges from the feedback. Where we choose to face the darkness together, and transform it into something shared, something human.
Featuring collaborators:
Leo Moon, Freddy Stevenson, Carmen Paradise, Kate O’Brien, Mama Sam, Laith, Rose Gerber, Mitch Gonzales, Galen Ballinger, Gretta Seabird, Zac Stanley, Nathan Earle, Anastasia Lang, Joel Shelley, Ryan Michael Keller, Nickia Delaware, Ricky Wilkins, Annie Vergnetti, David Owen, Taylor Newell, Karyn Ann, Jac Hardin, Rachel Brashear, and more!
If you are a curious creator, this show is for you.
If you’ve been craving something immersive, something that pulls you out of this slighted reality, this is your invitation.
