Join the Port of San Francisco for a volunteer beautification day at Bayview Gateway Park. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work alongside Port staff and make a difference along the historic San Francisco waterfront. Volunteers can expect to pull weeds, litter pick, and enjoy a morning of community service.
Event Overview
- The event kicks off at Bayview Gateway Park under the Port tent.
- Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM. All volunteers will need to complete a liability waiver.
- Port staff will share some information about the park, review the day’s activities, and provide a quick safety overview.
- Volunteers and Port Staff will then head to their assigned work.
- Work will take place for about 3 hours (9-12), with everyone returning to the kickoff location around noon.
What to Wear/Bring
- Dress in layers
- Wear closed-toe shoes and sunscreen
- Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
Accessibility
- Mainly flat ground
- Dedicated porta-potty for the event

- Bayview Gateway Park is in the Bayview neighborhood at the corner of Cargo Way and 3rd Street.
- Closest Muni station is Third Street & Marin Street
- Parking is available but limited across the street from the park on Amador St.
