About this Event
To celebrate Portsmouth International Port's 50th anniversary, the port will be opening its doors for a highly anticipated community open day. Following the success of previous events, Saturday 13 June will see the port open to the public from 10am - 4pm for a free, family friendly look at port operations.
There will be interactive stands from the port's partners, a range of ships and vessels to get onboard and visit, and impressive machinery and cargo handling equipment to explore.
The open day will also celebrate the dedication of their staff and those of the port's partners, alongside showcasing what the maritime industry does for Portsmouth, maritime employment, and ground-breaking sustainability initiatives.
Portsmouth International Port is the UK's most successful local authority run port, and is owned and operated by Portsmouth City Council.
More information on facilities, key exhibitors and timings will be announced nearer the time. Make sure you're following the port's social channels to be the first to know.
Getting to the port
Visitors to the open day are asked to walk, cycle, use public transport, or a Voi e-scooter or bike to reach the port if possible. If you are driving to the open day, we recommend using Portsmouth's Park and Ride service which stops at the port. You can also use the multi-storey car park at the port. See the port's website for full options.
