November 12 marks one year since the national apology under the royal inquiry into abuse in care and is set aside as a day to remember those who were harmed while in state care.You are invited to join a guided tour at Porirua Cemetery on this day, alongside family members of some of the unmarked graves, who will share the story of their loved one.
Hear from Allan Dodson and Cemeteries Manager Daniel Chrisp who will speak about the history of the cemetery and the Porirua Hospital.
The tour will be followed by tea and coffee in the Porirua Cemetery Chapel.
