In this introduction to the art of tapestry weaving, you will learn how to weave the shapes and textures of tall meadow grasses, before adding poppies, daisies or both to complete your piece. Each participant will create a unique woven piece, choosing their own colours and composition. This is a simplified version of the process Lucy uses to weave her own meadow-inspired tapestries. During the workshop, Lucy will demonstrate each step and share a little of tapestry’s rich history, introducing you to this ancient art form.
Perfect for beginners and those curious to explore woven art, while being suitable for anyone wishing to further develop their weaving skills.
All materials and equipment are provided with looms prepared in advance so you can concentrate on weaving. Materials include a large selection of coloured wools to choose from, allowing your own colour palette.
