Join us for Pop & Pottery at The Pottery Shop in Las Vegas — an adult “Try It” pottery wheel experience where we pair feel-good pop hits with hands-on creativity.
Think: your favorite throwback and current pop anthems, a little singing under your breath (or not), and the simple satisfaction of clay spinning between your hands.
Whether you’ve always wanted to try the pottery wheel or you’re just looking for something different to do, this beginner-friendly experience is the perfect mix of fun and low-pressure creativity.

We are on the north side of the mall, at our new temporary pop-up between Oozapalooza and Laser Away. You won’t see our old signage — but you’ll find us tucked right between those two storefronts.

We only have 6 wheels available, and these classes fill quickly — reserve in advance to save your seat.
Choose Your Experience
Single Wheel – $55 per person
• Your own wheel for 60 minutes
• Includes 3 (1-lb) balls of clay
• Firing of 1 piece* included
• $10 non-refundable deposit required to reserve (balance due in studio)
Tandem Wheel – $90 for two people
• Share one wheel for 60 minutes
• Includes 3 (1-lb) balls of clay
• Firing of 2 pieces* included
• $20 non-refundable deposit required to reserve (balance due in studio)
What to Expect
This experience is designed specifically for beginners. We’ll walk you through the fundamentals and support you as you try your hand at the wheel.
Most first-time participants create smaller, simple forms like:
• A bowl
• A cylinder
• A trinket dish
We do not guarantee you will make a fire-able piece*, but if your creation doesn’t make it through the process, you may choose a finished piece as a keepsake from your session.
The Fine Print (Please Read Carefully)
• Ceramics is an extremely unpredictable medium. We cannot guarantee pieces won’t crack during drying, bisque firing, or glaze firing.
• Clay shrinks approximately 15% from throwing to final firing.
• Class begins and ends at the published time. The experience lasts approximately 60 minutes total, including instructor demo and your time on the wheel.
• If your piece survives the firing process, we’ll apply your chosen glaze and complete the final glaze firing.
• Turnaround time is approximately 4–6 weeks before pick-up.
• If time permits, additional clay may be purchased for $5 per pound, and additional pieces may be glazed/fired for $15 each.

Before You Register
• No cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours of class
• No credits or refunds for no-shows
• Ages 16+ only
• Everyone in the wheel area must be registered — no spectators
• No open-toed shoes
• Fingernails may get dirty or break
• Wear comfortable clothing that can get messy (no skirts/dresses/kilts)
• No loose jewelry or rings
• Long hair must be tied back
