After nearly 50 years of hosting incredible music, Poor David's Pub will be closing its doors after its 2026 season. Susan Gibson and Sarah Golden are honored to be in the venue's final year's lineup for this bittersweet occasion, and are grateful to David Card for his years of dedication to live music. Join Susan and Sarah in celebrating the legacy of Poor David's Pub, with a song swap for the ages. Susan Gibson has released six studio-albums and one live album, and won a Grammy Award for her song, "Wide Open Spaces", which topped the charts for four weeks and was named one of the top 300 songs of the century by the Recording Industry Association of America. In addition to her #1 hit, Susan has written a litany of other fantastic songs, many of which she will be releasing throughout 2026.
Houston native, Sarah Golden, is a folk singer-songwriter whose rich vocals, soulful storytelling, and heartfelt performances have captivated audiences since the release of her debut album, Truth, in 2002, which earned her a spot as a Kerrville New Folk regional finalist. Since then, Golden has gone on to become a top contender on NBC's The Voice, America's Got Talent, and earned multiple awards and nominations, including the 2025 InterContinental Music Awards' Best of North America. Her forthcoming full-length album, "Live Wire", will highlight her sociopolitical activism and human rights advocacy, and is slated for release in early 2026.
