This award-winning documentary focuses on the central role of women in the Cuban revolution and looks at the huge advances gained by women since 1959.

The fight for women’s rights was heralded by Fidel Castro as a “revolution within the Revolution”, and today the women of Cuba continue to uphold and advance their rights through the Federation of Cuban Women, the largest mass organisation in the country, which marks its 65th anniversary in 2025.
