About this Event
Join Chagrin River Watershed Partners and Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve for the final sessions in our four-part Policy 101 training series, led by Emily Arthur of the Ohio Environmental Council. Building on earlier sessions, this training is designed to help participants move from foundational knowledge to practical action in water policy and engagement.
Sessions 3 & 4 (Combined): Effective Communication & Taking Action
Tuesday, May 19th: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
In person at the Rocky River Nature Center
This combined session will focus first on communication skills, teaching participants how to craft compelling stories, translate technical information, and communicate their work in ways that resonate with policymakers. We will then shift preparing participants to take meaningful engagement/education steps by exploring strategies for building relationships with policymakers, preparing for meetings, and identifying opportunities to engage.
Lunch will be provided, so registration is required to help us plan accordingly.
Together, these sessions will equip CLEB members with the knowledge, confidence, and tools needed to participate effectively in water policy advocacy across the Central Lake Erie Basin.
