Ages 7 & upGet ready for a fun and creative clay project at Artist For A Day! In this two-part clay workshop, artists will create their very own clay animal figure—perfect for displaying on a shelf, gifting to a friend, or capturing the personality of a favorite furry companion.
During the first session, participants will start with a pinch pot and transform it into the body of their animal. From there, we’ll shape and refine the form, then add details like ears, tails, eyes, and other features to bring each piece to life. This class focuses on simple shapes with added details, making it a great project for building confidence and creativity while still allowing for lots of personalization. After the clay is fired, you’ll return during open studio hours to glaze your piece in colors that match your animal (real or imagined!).
✨ No clay experience needed—just imagination and a willingness to get a little messy!
Workshop Details:
-Create your clay piece in two sessions—one to sculpt and one to glaze.
-The fee includes one clay session, plus a return visit in two weeks to paint it yourself.
-We will notify you once your piece has been slow-dried and kiln-fired (about 14–18 days). You’ll then be able to glaze your piece!
-After glazing, your piece will be ready for pickup 10 days later.
Cost: $35 per person (includes all materials and supplies)
