Let yourself be inspired by poetry throughout the ages as you enjoy gentle, all-levels yoga. Anne Curtis and Melissa Carroll will share some of their favorite poems from Rumi, Mary Oliver, and more while they guide you through mindful movement and meditation. Within the yoga practice we will take time to slow down, reflect, and meditate on selected poems, folding poetry, yoga, and meditation together. The practice will close with a soothing, peaceful guided meditation. Open to all - beginners and seasoned practitioners welcome. Feel free to bring a journal if you wish. If you love when yoga teachers share quotes in class, you will love this workshop — and if you’re not familiar with poetry but you’re curious then join us!In this relaxing afternoon you will rebalance your body through gentle yoga for all levels ~ enjoy hearing poetry during the yoga practice to deepen your experience in the moment ~ allow beloved poets such as Rumi to enrich and inspire your meditation practice. Please bring a yoga mat and any props to make you feel comfortable (props are also freely available at the studio).
