Poetic Alchemy Writing for Transformation Workshop with Jennifer Barone

at Telegraph Hill Books
1501 Grant Ave San Francisco CA 94133
Embark on an experiential journey through portals of transformation in this generative writing workshop. Travel through time space and mysterious gateways with guided prompts designed to spark memories conjure guides and inspire dreams and visions for your work. There will be time to write and (optionally) share throughout the workshop. Come write connect with fellow local creatives and enjoy drinks and small bites.
This workshop is open to poets and writers of all genres and levels for generative purposes only. We will not be soliciting critical feedback or editing.
Please bring:
Your preferred writing tools: journal paper pen(s) or laptop
An open heart and mind

Facilitator Bio:
Jennifer Barone is an Italian-American poet and artist. She is the author of three books of poetry including: Saporoso Poems of Italian Food & Love (now in its third edition from Feather Press.) She been a featured poet at San Francisco’s LitQuake SF Public Library SFJazz Poetry & Jazz Festival Marin Poetry Center Red Poppy Art House Libreria Pino / Telegraph Hill Books Bird & Beckett Books Golden Sardine The Beat Museum SF MoMa SF Historical Society and DeYoung Museum. She is a two-time winner of the 2007 and 2012 SF Public Library’s Poets Eleven contest for North Beach where she resides and has been published in literary journals such as The Marin Poetry Center Anthology Colossus Press: Current Water and This Wandering State poems from Alta Vol. 1: San Francisco edited by Kim Shuck SF Poet Laureate Emeritus Quiet Lightning’s Sparkle & Blink Forum Literary Magazine of CCSF The Haight Ashbury Literary Journal Accolades A WWS Anthology and two Poets 11 Anthologies published by the SF Public Library and edited by Jack Hirschman SF Poet Laureate Emeritus.
