Writing for Transformation Workshop with Jennifer Barone
About this Event

Embark on an experiential journey through portals of transformation in this generative writing workshop. Travel through time, space, and mysterious gateways with guided prompts designed to spark memories, conjure guides, and inspire dreams and visions for your work. There will be time to write and (optionally) share throughout the workshop. Come write, connect with fellow local creatives, and enjoy drinks and small bites.

This workshop is open to poets and writers of all genres and levels for generative purposes only. We will not be soliciting critical feedback or editing.

Please bring:

  • Your preferred writing tools: journal, paper, pen(s) or laptop
  • An open heart and mind

  • This workshop will be limited to 15 people
  • Early bird tickets are $35. for the first 5 attendees. $45-50 after

Jennifer Barone is an Italian-American poet and artist. She is the author of three books of poetry, including: Saporoso, Poems of Italian Food & Love, (now in its third edition from Feather Press.) She been a featured poet at San Francisco’s LitQuake, SF Public Library, SFJazz Poetry & Jazz Festival, Marin Poetry Center, Red Poppy Art House, Libreria Pino / Telegraph Hill Books, Bird & Beckett Books, Golden Sardine, The Beat Museum, SF MoMa, SF Historical Society and DeYoung Museum. She is a two-time winner of the 2007 and 2012 SF Public Library’s Poets Eleven contest for North Beach where she resides and has been published in literary journals such as The Marin Poetry Center Anthology, Colossus Press: Current Water and This Wandering State, poems from Alta, Vol. 1: San Francisco, edited by Kim Shuck, SF Poet Laureate Emeritus, Quiet Lightning’s Sparkle & Blink, Forum Literary Magazine of CCSF, The Haight Ashbury Literary Journal, Accolades, A WWS Anthology, and two Poets 11 Anthologies, published by the SF Public Library, and edited by Jack Hirschman, SF Poet Laureate Emeritus.
