About this Event
Dorothy will be reading from her collection Unpinned from Time, written as a searing response to a double tragedy. These poems speak directly and powerfully to both poet and non‑poet alike, offering emotional clarity and connection.
Dorothy has worked as both a midwife and lecturer, and in 2013 she was the runner‑up of the Charles Causley Poetry Prize. She has recently relocated from Cornwall to Plymouth, bringing her voice and experience to the city’s creative community.
This special session invites you to hear Dorothy share selected works, explore the stories behind the poems, and reflect on how writing can hold space for grief, resilience, and hope.
