The Melbourne Advertising, Design & Creativity (MADC) launches POD: Pioneers of Distinction - a new series spotlighting the voices shaping contemporary creativity.
The inaugural event, From Idea to Earbuds, will take place on Friday, May 1st, 2026, at the St Kilda Sports Club, bringing together some of Australia’s most influential podcast creators and storytellers for an evening of conversation, connection, and a dancefloor to finish with DJ K-Groove!
Hear from leading creators:
- Rachael Brown (Trace) - Three-time Walkley Award winner and ABC true crime lead
- Ryan Shelton (The Imperfects) - Comedian and writer, known for his work across TV, podcasting, and live performance
- Richard Baker (Phoebe’s Fall, Wrong Skin) - Prolific podcast creator and Founder of Southern Ocean Media
The panel will be co-hosted by Jacinta Parsons (Co-host of ABC Melbourne’s The Friday Revue) and Matt Lawson (MADC Co-President and Co-Founder of ATime&Place), guiding audiences through an insightful and practical exploration of podcasting today.
Part inspiration, part social, POD is your Friday night sorted. Tickets include entry and pizza on arrival, with drinks available to purchase throughout the night at bar prices.
